Mall madness
Okay, so I am officially proclaiming my hate for malls at Christmas. This is my favorite time of year, but the shopping is horrendous. I love cozy fires, jazzy Christmas tunes, decorated trees, white lights, garland on my fireplace mantle and all the rest of the Christmas atmosphere. But the malls just ruin everything.
Frankly, I hate the pressure we receive from stores to buy buy buy for every single person we know including our cousin-in-laws and their boyfriends. My husband and I braved the mall today to get some final shopping done and it was awful. I like going shopping by myself, when there is hardly anyone in the mall. No crowds, no craziness, no pressure. With only days before Christmas, it seems like every shopper is in a state of panic, which only brings out the stupid in them. No one is paying attention to where they're walking, pushing their strollers, etc. They stop and stand in the middle of traffic throroughfares to stare or make a phone call. It's maddening. Seriously, I think I'm converting to online shopping. Or maybe, just converting to no shopping at all. Everyone gets a handmade gift and a warm fuzzy note from me.
Merry merry all....
