Happy Turkey Day!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. Our beautiful son, our wonderful puppy, and our wonderful marriage. Marriage is a lot of work and committment, but I love my husband more and more each day.

Here are some shots of our fabulous Thanksgiving celebration:

The Bird, prepared with love by my dad. He's a phenomenal chef:

My mother made turkey cupcakes:

Here's Cole's first bite of his very first Thanksgiving dinner:

Keep it coming, mom and dad!

Of course, just like his mommy, dessert is always a favorite:

Just noticed....

I never updated on the gender of baby in utero! It's a girl! Now we'll have a nicely balanced little family. Until we mess it up with the third child. But no more pregnancies for me, we think. We want to adopt the next one. Just not for a while.

So there are three new posts here since Cole's birthday! Go me and finally getting this blog updated!!!

First snowfall of the season

Last week we had our first snow and it actually stayed for three days. We decided to take Cole out to experience it for the first time. Well, of course he was here last year, but he was way too little to know what was going on.

Plenty bundled

The sled is a $1 garage sale purchase. I am mighty proud of it. He totally loved the experience, swishing his hands in the snow, and then eating it off of his mittens.

Halloween....finally

Well, life has been a bit rough, hence the delay in blogging. I got the flu in a major way, bad enough to send Cole off to the grandparents for two overnights and three days so I could rest and not breathe my germiness on him.

Anyway, Halloween was a blast with our little dragon!

On the lawn

Hubby had to corral him to stay put at the first house, but soon figured out the people came to the door to drop candy in his bag. He peered into the bag each time. It was so stinkin' cute:
